mar.morannon At just under 3.5 minutes, K-186f is relatively short for a prog song, but the tight timing doesn't stop Scorched Moon from packing a significant journey into the piece.

Combining the rocky edges of tumultuous drum beats and harsh vocals with the cresting waves of emotional guitar solos, this track mimics the potentially Earth-like terrain of the planet it is named for. Sci-fi inspired synths round out the setting and pull the listener into the depths of space to join our hero in his struggle.

lyrics

Now we must pick up the pieces
The tempo of war increases forever lasting
Ships blot out their sun
Blood runs cold, it has begun
Can I be the hero they need?

I suppose it's now or never
Flowing through this endless river
And it feels like we're standing still
We can only retaliate
We will be sure to seal their fate
Caught between with no force of will

Can I be the hero that they need?
This war, my crime of passion
My legend has been set in motion
I can't be the leader that they seek

Despotic fools rule the stars beyond
Ahead our path wanders long
Surrounded by gods and kings
To rise they'll stop at nothing

I must be the hero that they need
I must be the leader that they seek
On the path forward there's no other choice
All the worlds will know the sound of my voice
