Lost Adrift
05:22

Lost adrift in the darkness
the all consuming space between stars
I tried to pull back the veil
I never thought I'd make it this far
Here we are caught in constant motion
trapped like rats in this endless ocean
can you see the constellations glow
hear this silence reaping what we sow
what choice do we have but to fight on
but to sing our fallen brothers' song
We will not let their deaths be in vain
we must carry on through fear and pain
I've fought hard searching for my bliss
she hangs suspended, motionless
we stood against the crimson king
still we hear the stars as they sing
lost adrift in darkness
the all consuming space between stars
I tried to pull back the veil
I never thought I'd make it this far

No Turning Back
05:13
|
|||
signs of life flash across the screens
like a light in the darkest seas
a beacon calling to new shores
hope lives for so much more
we set a course for this new system
wondering what they might think of us
approaching we quietly listen
will we bring suspicion or trust?
How long have we been gone
cast out amongst the void
relativity shown
has it all been destroyed?
All of our sensors springing to life
communications activate
monitors painting pictures of strife
signals hailing us from the gate
A hundred years have gone by
lost out amongst the void
relativity shown
not all has been destroyed!
Out past the point of no return
in the vast silence we did burn
and from our last triumph we learn
that there's no turning back the clock
that there's nothing to sooth the shock
There's only one path left to walk
And there's no turning back the clock
